(650ml bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers Spirit Merchant in James Bay. Pours a thin, beige head atop an opaque body. Aroma is a delightful vanilla fronted chocolate, very sweet and perfume - swilled around the glass and you get some hops. Texture is gritty. Flavour is semi-boozy with bourbon, the bitterness is far more apparent on the tongue than the nose. Very sweet, it gives the impression of maple syrup squares or brown sugar cubes swirled with vanilla and ample cocoa powder. I would say that this is bang on considering the lower ABV. A lovely Impy Stout.

Bottle, courtesy of toffsbury. Pours opaque black, with a thin tan head. Milk chocolate aroma. Taste is silky smooth chocolate, no bitterness. After a while starts to taste a little watery. Smooth moutfheel, but a thin body. Nice.

Nice and hoppy amber beer. Not sure what the irish influence is. Nice clean finish. Best amber ale I’ve had period.

Aroma is chocolatey and delicious, but mild. Milk chocolate rather than dark chocolate. Pours nearly opaque with a brown edge, and a very thin head, oily on top. Taste is nice, pretty chocolatey but not overwhelmingly so, with some roasted malt and a hint of booze. Aftertaste is milky sweet and lingers on the tongue. Body is surprisingly thin for what it is, but smooth. Some tartness sneaking in there. Overall quite nice.

Very nice chocolate stout. Smooth and (too) easy to drink. Small foamy head upon pour. Notes of chocolate on nose and palate. Simple but delicious.

Looks beautiful. Tan head with swirls of darker notes. Huge chocolate aroma and an even bigger chocolate taste. Instead of pairing with a dessert, serve this as the dessert. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with creamy light brown head. Great aromas of vanilla, milk chocolate, banana bread, and some booze. More vanilla and milk chocolate flavours before a nice dark chocoate finish. Palate is thin, but still a solid effort.
