This lager poured a light yellow colour with a soapy, white head. To the nose there are scents of corn, cooked veggies and grain. First sip was smooth and watery with flavours of corn and grain. Very boring. Finish is lightly malty with the usual corn flavour lingering.

Bottle 5% Clear, yellowish pour that bubbles out a surprising amount of white foam, no lacing. Aroma is corn, malts, and a hint of hops. Taste is more of the same, a malty frothy bite of plain lagery beer.

Perfect for a hair of the dog morning. Light, refreshing, and easy to drink. You feel like you’re rehydrating while getting all the benefits of alcohol. Crisp, with a mild but obvious hop presence. A little malt to balance this out and make your head nod after taking a sip.

Granville 12-bottle mixer pack at The Beer Store. Golden and clean, with a big white frothy head that stays long and gives out good lacing. Quite malty aromas at first, but hop comes out with time. Decent grainy malts with rusty hops that balances things. Quite a well-brewed standard lager, with good malts and hops.

Bottle. Been a while since I drank this, Molson bought the brewery in the interim. It doesn’t seem to have affected this brew though. Looking at the ratings here I think this entry level craft lager is getting a bad rap. It really is a decent mash-made lager in the Canadian lager style...malty, fair hopping, easy drinking...certainly nothing stands out but it is fresh and made from mash not LME as most of the commercial national brands are. Yes it’s filtered too much but it still retains a decent fresh bready lager character - a good Hockey beer.

33 cl bottle, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Pale golden, corn and cereal aroma. Spice and corn flavour, fairly nondescript, with a medium bitter finish.
