Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA Jul 14, 2007 Bottle. Pours a Grade B maple color with not much head. Nose is malty with maybe some maple way in the back. Maybe that’s just my wishful thinking as I want to have that. Flavor is sweet caramel with maple notes teaming with some roasty malts. Yes, I believe there really are maple tones in this one! Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Not overly sweet at all, but nice, creamy brew with definate maple undertones. I liked this and just maybe the best to this point of my search for a mapley maple scented beer. Just an aside for all you maple lovers, there is a vodka called Vermont Gold that is distilled from maple sap. Real good, check it out if you can. Thanks to mgermani for the bottle.
BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 16, 2008 This wasn’t bad, but then again it was not really great either. Has some maple, nutty pecans in the nose. The flavor is quite thin and one dimensional, with sweet toffee and a creamy mouthfeel. Magic_dave6 (3975), London, Greater London, England Jul 5, 2008 Bottle thanks to father brought this from vancover. Aroma is sweet brown malts, maple notes. Taste is similarly sweet thin and very boring, near no hop character. Again reminisant of an enligh bastardised nitro can bitter. carruthm (431), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 24, 2008 amber/maple colored with a small head. lightly creamy texture with definite maple flavors. bozoNZ (369), Christchurch, New Zealand Jan 13, 2008 355ml can c\- my bro’s trip abroard. Pours a fair brown colour, with a faint head that vanishes abruptly. Toffee caramel cream aromas with the same on first taste. Tangy carbonation, creamy and a soft smooth finish. Probably from the can doesn’t enhance it’s cause. tomthompson89 (1149), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 30, 2007 pours nice auburn color, good amount of white foam. Malty sweet nose. not unpleasant but not fantastic, , somewhat sweet definate darker malts and maybe some maple. clean finish
