Head was of ’average’ size (what is that, exactly?) and tan in colour. The body was clear and darkish amber in hue. Both aroma and taste were reminiscent of what I believe to be plums, with some additional spicing in the taste. Mouthfeel was solid, and the aftertaste was unremarkable.

Tawny tan in colour with a peppery caramel nose. The taste really impressed me: butterscotch, candied yams, slight creamy syrup. Something about this reminds me of Anchor Steam’s Bock and their annual holiday brews. Would love to see this recipe steeped up a bit in hops and ABV and it would be stellar...but I enjoyed this very much as it is.

As holiday ales go, this pales by comparison to a lot of biger, maltier, versions of the style. No alcohol warmth that is typically present in a "winter warmer" or holiday ale, but this beer is designed more for the general public, rather than the beer snob crowd. Chocolate and vanilla all the way through the beer make this a good after dinner pour.

Draft. Poured a clear amber/maple syrup color. The head was off white. Pleasant aroma of cinnamon donut, sweet cream, and a bit of spicy malt. Medium bodied. Slightly sweet up front with a dry-ish finish. I tasted cinnamon donut, cola, and a ytouch of sassafras. Decent beer.

Great vanilla smooth finish. A brown slightly red colour and thicker but small head. One of the better local consistent winter beers.

Big chocolate aroma. Bright amber in colour with small white head. Strong white chocolate flavours. Very sweet.

A fairly good brew. Pours out a brown color with a small head. Aroma is malty and sweet. Flavor is similar with some choco in the finish. One of the better offerings from this brewer.

taste resembles that of Newcastle Brown Ale with a little more of a chocolate finish. Little head with a ruby red color. Fantastic.

One of the finest noses I have ever come across. Rich melted belgian chocolate over a powder-sugared crépe’s. Hints of spicy malbec grapes softened by lush endless malt. Waves and waves of the malt follow into the mouth, all gently wrapped in a roasted glaze and finished off with sutle mild hops. Such a tragedy that this beer just slightly loses its edge with a bittery finish and also a touch too much carbonation. Still, gorgous beer.

White chcocolate in aroma, mostly. Whitish thock lacey look, although mouthfeel was lighter. FInishes bitter.
