3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz can courtesy of my niece, who is awesome and end of story. Clear and slightly bubbly amber with an average but long-lasting fizzy off-white head (3+). Interesting aroma - hugely grainy, with fuggles bitterness. Taste follows, cocoa and vanilla sweetness, very light - I really like it! Light body, slick, mild carbonation, quick finish - not what I think of a winter beer, but pretty drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear deep orange-amber with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Decent enough aroma of vanilla, caramel malt, lactic notes, nuts and milk chocolate. Flavour follows the aroma and also starts with vanilla followed by caramel malt, very light hops, grain, nuts, lactic notes and milk chocolate. Light, dry bitter finish. Average bodied. A little too sweet for me but better then I expected.

[355ml bottle, courtesy of Ashton McCobb] Amber beer with a very thin head. Pretty soon, totally flat other than a small ring around the glass. Smells exactly like Start - honey covered malt breakfast cereal. Some vanilla in there as well. On the taste, sweet vanilla honey and some brown sugar. The ultimate flavour is cream soda - which is really rather strange. Thanks for the bottle Ash, but it’s pretty poor

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Rusty brown, small off white head. Aroma: Vanilla, cream, eggnog, a little spice and a hint of sour milk. Flavour: Vanilla, like a vanilla candy, not very nice, lactose, eggnog again, bitter, a little sour milk. Long vanilla and bitter finish. Weird.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2015 RE-RATE: Tried again in bottle, it is still too sweet on the aroma but had none of the offensive flavours of before. Vanilla is very present, body is medium. Caramel aroma and flavours, pours copper reddish. I guess the tap I had was stale. A bit too sweet, alright as a dessert beer though.
At first sip I hated this. It had the sweetness of rotting fruit and a dirty aftertaste. After a few sips the taste became slightly lless offensive. Some might like it but I would say avoid it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle, thanks to Robert C. Pours amber with steady bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has honey coated cereal. The taste has more honey and cereal with some sultanas. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and a clean finish. Overall, very balanced and drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at The Black Tomato. Pours clear bronze, thin cream coloured head. Lacing is average, for a draft beer. Nose is cinnamon, light fruit, malt, maple, and red licorice. Flavours are lightly spicy, with soft red fruit as well as apples. Finish is spicy plum. An inoffensive, but unremarkable winter ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the calling. A very likeable sweet and chocolatey esa. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a light and creamy mousse on top. Sweet milk chocolatey nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Pronounced chocolatey quality with a bit of brown sugar. Not much hop in the finish. Very approachable, broad appeal.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Sherlocks downtown. Medium amber thin white cap. Thin chocolate caramel toasty perfume vanilla aroma. Decent smell. The taste is ok but the gassiness got annoying quickly. Vanilla, light chocolate with a faint orange flavor, toffee toastiness, slightly astringent, light tang that is very short lived as well as a smidgen of bitterness but only on the odd sip. This is on the brink of being too sweet. Not great but a decent light weight option at the bar.
