Can. Appearance: Nice ruby colour with excellent clarity, large creamy light tan head, lasts reasonably well and leaves some nice lacing. Aroma: Very strong vanilla dominates, also some rum notes (actually the aroma can be well described as spiced rum). Faint hop aroma. Flavour: Quite sweet, not usually a big fan of sweetness, but this actually works for me with this beer. Not much else really, some nuttiness and toasted bread. Slight bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel: Low carbonation, medium body, a chewiness that I canít decide if I like or not. Short finish and not much of the warming aftertaste that I like in a winter beer. Overall: I could drink this again quite happily, but probably wonít go out of my way to get it. Will try it on tap soon hopefully and maybe it will impress more.

Bottle. I was quite surprised by this Granville offering, because it was so good. It had an aroma of vanilla and caramel. Tastes of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Had a nice full body with a slick feel. The aftertaste is a warming boozy vanilla, but in the best way. I would warm up with a six pack of these again.

Hazy brown pour with a very fizzy noisy head that didnít last. Interesting scent I canít quite place. Hoppy and something else, something mellow. Really dig the mouth on this one. Malty and mellow. Thereís a strong aftertaste. Still havenít... Iíve got it! Vanilla. Thatís what it is. Reminds me of an Ale version of Mill Street Vanilla Porter. Rather like this. Very easy to drink and a good reward at the end of a long day.

A darkish pour with lots of licorice aroma and aftertaste. A medium - dark brew.

Pours dark copper colour with small off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, as is the initial taste. Taste then goes to a slightly sour bitterness and back to chocolate. Palate is a bit thin.

Sample kindly poured by the staff at Saracoa, cheers to them. Poured a medium to deep clear amber. Nose was quite chocolatey. Flavor was caramel malt followed by a chocolate finish. Quite shocking in that the chocolate was so clear, yet there wasnít any of the traditional roasted notes that you would typically find. Slightly sweet. Would have made for an interesting desert beer. Not bad at all. Probably good that it was just a heavy sample, as a full glass may have been a bit much.

Good beer nice chocolate, vanilla aroma. Goes down easy, its nothing spectacular but still a alright beer. Probably pair good with a orange based dessert.

Aroma is hard to put your finger on. Hints of vanilla and coffee. Taste like a vanilla coke almost. Itís a decent winter ale. Definatly unique.

Quite a distinctive vanilla flavor. I probably wouldn't have bought it but where I live there is little to no interesting beers. Glad I tried it. I will buy it again.

Aroma of stale chocolate, funk, caramel, and malts. Dark clear amber pour. Taste is heavily of vanilla with some stale chocolate, spices, with a watery malt aftertaste. I have no real complaints about this one other than it having a very odd palate and being a bit watery.

Poured dark copper brown with medium frothy head. Heavy chocolate aroma. Same chocolate flavour with some vanilla, and a bit of coffee. I found the chocolate too overpowering to be enjoyable.
