Bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a caramel colour with a white head that quickly disappears to a ring. Nose is vanilla, malt, and chocolate. Taste follows nose. Average beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear dark amber topped by a finger of creamy tanned head showing average retention and leaving a few strings on the side of the glass. The nose is milk chocolate and pink peppercorns. The taste has milk chocolate with some roasted notes of hazelnuts through a light body with mild bitterness. The brew finishes dry and grainy with nutty undertones. Cheers!

On tap in Whistler Village. Pours like maple syrup and tastes almost the same. This is one of the sweetest beers I have tasted. Sort of reminds me of Rogue hazelnut brown, but x10 the sweetness. Notes also of vanilla. It’s decent for the style, but one is all I could drink.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
A truly bizarre experience: the overwhelming impression is that of a vanilla-flavoured ice cream soda! The aftertaste of vanilla is simply overpowering.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark cherry wood pour with an ever so slightly off white head.
Aromas are all vanilla and chocolate bars.
Tastes are totally the same with the addition, of a sneaky hop bitterness on the finish.
Overall, if you like a sweet beer, it’s hard to go wrong with this

Slightly sweet malty lots of toffee and oranges. Not super well balanced, but enjoyable.

Chocolate and chocolate. From the beginning to the end. With a slight hint of vanilla. Caramel. Not bitter. Medium body. Low carbonation. Not bad, but not my taste. ABV is 5.5%, but not overwhelming.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
One of Granville Island's better brews; I've had the 2013 and 2014 release in bottles and on tap. Some caramel and candy sweetness, fruit, a touch of mint it seems. Pretty well balanced, medium-light bodied but lots of flavour. Good for the style and one of Granville's more unique and successful offerings.
