3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 caledonian (367) - Surrey, - FEB 15, 2009
Zero carbonation or head. Murky. A little thin flavor-wise, but that may be to appeal to the masses who have only ever had macrobrew lagers. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad brew, but I’m not compelled to buy more.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 stantheman (86) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 1, 2012
On tap at Bacchus restaurant in Vancouver, served in a small sleeve. A clean, pleasant, inoffensive wheat beer. Simple flavors. A bit sweet. Drier would be nicer. Can’t miss on this one for an easy summer brew, if the price is right.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jrizko (42) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 31, 2012
(Previously Tasted, Home, New 341mL Bottle, Lager Glass, 5% ABV, Chilled, 31/05/12. #42.)
Appearance (3/5): Pours a cloudy, medium honey-amber hue, with a white, frothy, two finger head that mostly lasts and leaves decent lacing.
Aroma (7/10): Very strong lemon, banana, and pear, with some floral, spice, bubble gum, and caramel notes.
Taste (6/10): Quite fruity sweet, almost too sweet, with a tart touch and a short, soft finish. There is a delicate spicy/yeasty note that reminds me very strongly of Dieu du Ciel. Very light and refreshing, but not incredibly interesting
Palate (3/5): Light body, soft carbonation, watery and slightly oily texture, with a soft, clean finish. Too watery.
Overall (12/20): A very tasty, weizen that could be a little less sweet. I really couldn’t drink more then one. Drinkable and refreshing, this is a great beer for hot weather, although there are better choices
Drinkability: 5/5. Character: 2/5. Buy Again: Probably No.

Pint @ Shipstone, Ganges. Plenty of banana and esters poke out of this one though the fat slice of lemon that was hanging onto the rim of the glass has certainly left plenty of residual citrus aroma. Nothing offensive.

Not a bad hefeweizen. Sweet wheaty taste. Nice fruity aroma, buttery palate. Pretty good.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Spab (1195) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 18, 2012
341 ml bottle from The Beer Store. Pours a quite cloudy dull pale orange with small white head and some big bubbles. Aroma is fruity yeast, wheat and clove. Flavour is banana, pear, wheat and clove. Body is on the light side of medium. Pleasantly refreshing but nothing too special.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 patricks110 (916) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 20, 2011
341ml brown bottle. Pale yellow colour with some cloudiness. Small white cap with good staying power. Fruity and yeasty nose, cloves and bananas. Taste has wheat malt, fruit notes of apple and banana, light yeast spice. Finishes wheaty and yeasty with a bit of lemony hop. Light in body and carbonation. Ok, but not exciting.
A pale yellow with a bit of cloudy yeast in the body and a thick foamy white head. The head sustains for a long time and leaves some nice thick lacing rings. On the nose, there is a mildly spiced and fruity, yeast forward aroma with light esters and cloves, coriander, etc. The taste is light and sweet with an okay fruit taste and mild wheat malt. Overall, this is mostly a bland and average session hefe.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 reebtogi (2191) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 1, 2011
341mL bottle poured a slightly hazy golden yellow color with big white head settling quickly with little lacing left behind. Aromas of banana and cloves and yeast. Taste is fruity and malty sweet with some yeast and a mild hoppy finish. This is a decent wheat ale, but nothing like a good German wheat beer.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bulldogops (311) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 7, 2011
Bottle from Solo Liquor in St. Albert. 5%. Pours a clear golden yellow with no haziness to speak of. Bubbly white head dissipates quickly. Has the look of sparkling apple juice. Aroma is heavy on yeast, mild fruitiness (banana), very mild herbal note.. Taste is quite sweet, and doesn’t have the natural grainy tones of your typical hefeweisen. Sure doesnt look like a hefe, either. Not exciting.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4568) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2011
Wheat, light spicy estery yeast - banana and clove mostly on the nose. Pours orange, hazy, thin head. The flavor is lightly spicy and sweet - banana, clove, vanilla with wheat notes throughout. Light bodied but decent mouthfeel. LIght sweetness.
