3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the Brews Cafe "Spring Forward" beer festival on 03/09/2013: The beer pours a hazed amber-gold color with a medium off-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Bananas, yeast and wheat in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of ripe fruit, yeast and sweet malt. The finish is fruity with a spicy wheat and banana aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle, Batch #4. Served in a goblet, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about a half inch off-white head. Both the head retention and lacing are good. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and fruity, the brew smells like honey, pears, candy sugar, floral/earthy hops, and a bit of peppery spice. The taste is similar to the aroma, but I also pick up some clove, bubblegum and some earthy/herbal flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit creamy and is also well carbonated. It’s a little boozy, but for the most part the alcohol is well hidden. I think it’s a good brew, I’d pick this one up again in the future. Always nice to have another good local brewery in the mix. $9.99 a bottle.
