Draft at Café Abseits. Sweetish malt nose with a certain fruity note. Mild sweetness with a firm and lingering hop bitterness. Almost perfectly balanced and dangerously drinkable. Tasty, bittersweet bock that hardly puts a foot wrong.

(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of grassy herbal hops, watermelon and some light grainy pale malts, slightly sweet. flavour is mostly bready, grainy malts with notes of sweet spices, almost belgian in a way. medium-bodied with smooth carbonation and a dry, alcoholic finish. quite different to most examples of the style.

bottle. Clear golden colour, mid-sized head. Hoppy nose. Full-bodied, solid malty base with lots of resiny-citrusy hops. Bitter-sweet, reminds me of an American IPA.

Bottle (enjoyed the last night at the hotel before leaving). Orangeish golden colour with mediumsized fluffy white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready malts, some hayish notes as well as alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is quite much the same with alcohol giving quite a burn. Also some herbal and slightly spicy notes.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, sugar, light to moderate hoppy, citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a peppery - alcoholic finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish is light metalic and alcoholic. [20090607]

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet grainy and herbal, slightly flowery hoppy nose. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth, well-matured mouthfeel. Robust pale malty base with herbal hops giving a balancing amount of bitterness from the beginning. Quite bitter and herbal hoppy finish with a warming alcohol presence. Well-done (18.04.07).
