COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Leider ist es nur zur Weihnachtszeit zu haben. Ein Malzbetontes, bernsteinfarbenes Märzenbier mit dezenter Hopfenbittere aus feinstem Hallerdauer Aromahopfen. Die Malzmischung aus hellem Pilsner und Münchner Malz ist Tradition. genau richitig zum Fest. Stammwürze: 13.6 %, Alkoholgehalt 5.5 %vol.

Bottled 500ml. -from www.beershop.hr Clear dark golden coloured, small white to off-white head, dryish grainy nose. Sweet malty, grainy, light caramel and dust with again notes of grain in rather dry finish. Drinkable.

Oh Du fröhliche Vorweihnachtszeit. Warum gibt’s eigentlich erst Lebkuchen im Rewe und danach erst die Festbiere? Worschd - ran an den Speck: Tolle Farbe im Glas, dunkler Bernstein, schöne Perligkeit. In der Nase schwingt eine malzige Würze mit, die ich nicht wirklich einordnen kann - Spekulatius? Oder verwirrt mich hier nur das Label? Im Trunk setzt sich die Würze fort, leichte Süße, dann bitter, ganz spät kernig, kellerbierig. Das schmeckt! Schön süffig ohne pappig zu werden. Lecker Zeug - genau das richtige, wenn’s am Heiligabend wieder nur Socken gab.

Draught at the brewpub, Dec. 2013: Clear burnished golden. Broken eggshell foam. Muted nose of apricot, honey-kissed toasted bread, mineral, piecrust, and honeysuckle. Light note of metal. Loose, soft carbonation. Softly malty and grassy with haylike malt and toasted bread flavors. Honeyish, lightly caramelized sugars curtail the softness as they grip the tongue. Malt takes on a limpness akin to damp hay and wet paper as it develops. Subtle waxlike character beneath it all. Flowery suggestions shyly exude amid the apricot fruitiness. Sweetish finish is lined with apricot and honey-drizzled hay and bread. No off notes to speak of, but it sure doesn’t have much to say. A very simple and undemanding Märzen.

Slightly brown in the glass, the beer starts malty. Something strange is in the taste. The mainpart is malty, dry, some caramel. The aftertaste is long, malty, dry, slightly sweet. A bit strange, but ok! --> 10/12/9/9

Thanks erzengel for sharing. Pours a clear golden color with a small head. The smell is caramel and fruity. The taste is similar to the smell...not a ton going on. The body is light with average carbonation.

Draft at Grasser. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers), with light notes of peach, hint of black tea. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light, simple, but some pleasant fruity character.

Amber body, clear with a short white head.
Toffee, sweet breads, honey, red apple skins.
Moderate bitterness, high sweetness, noticeable esters.
Mild off-notes of wet dog hair and chemicals.
Medium body thinning into a watery finish; low acidity / flabby.
A bit boring though the toffee / caramel notes are nice.
