cloudy red orange, small white bubbly head. fruity to almost sweet fruity aroma, also some sourness, the fruits appear fresh. flavor is bretty, alc. bitter, grapefruit bitter, the lime and the hibiscus add some fruit and herbal notes, it’s very well composed but i don’t fancy the taste much. The beer is super dry, and the finer sourish nuances in between the dry and bitter is quite nice.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: hazy orange golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: fruity nose, lime and citrus balanced with brett. Taste: medium body with high sourness and brett attack. Finish fruity with lime and orange notes. Astringent. Aftertaste: fruity, sourness and astringent. Not for me. I didn’t hit the hibiscus.

Blomsterregn og limejuice! Saison er en disciplin som de færreste mestre, men wow for en skarpskåren succes. Crisp, blomstret, tør og brettet, alt hvad hjertet begærer.

2014 bottle, courtesy of a nice man from Portland, in a location remote of the library.
Pours a light orange color with a good head and some nice lacing all over the dang.

The aroma is like a really rich funk with brine, wet rock, barnyard & hay. It’s got lemon peel and wood. Honestly it smells like a really good Gueuze at this point, which is not how I remember it smelling last time I cracked one of these guys, so that’s interesting.

The flavor is lightly bitter and pretty dang dry while retaining some malt richness. There are some earthy leafy notes to it, some tart strawberry, a bit of multigrain bread and a nice lemony tartness. There is a light floral character to the beer but it’s almost something that (at this point) one would have to look for.

Anyway, a really fun beer even with a little bit of age on it.
