Bottle at home via Mikkeller online. Cage twist broke, so getting into this was a Herculean effort... once open, pours a bright burnt amber, not too far off something like Westons cider, with a small white head that doesn’t linger. Aroma of soft funk, some peach, apricot and rosehips. Solid carbonation, thin and refreshing. Lightly tart, some lime in evidence along with some slight Brett character. Very drinkable to start with but a woody astringency lurks at the back of the palate, which is the main problem here.

poured from a 750 ml bottle. Pours a pink melon color with a bright white head. The aroma is amazing, fruity, slightly tart, soft herbal note, berries. The flavor is herbal, tannic, soft berry notes, fruity. The flavors are very delicate. The dry astringency is distracting.

Clear pink-orange pour with a one finger, sudsy, bright white head. Aroma is bretty funk, sweet citrus, tart floral notes and a bit of sweet cereal. Essentially everything you’d expect from the commercial deScription, maybe a bit more sweet smelling than I expected. Flavor is sweet and tart floral notes right away, some toast, sweet, lightly nutty and cereal malt, leafy, spicy hops, sweet and sour stone fruit, light minerality and some nice tart and lightly bitter citrus. The hibiscus is present, but thankfully (pleasingly) more of a supporting role. Light body, light to moderate acidity, a feel that plays between juicy and dry and medium, blanketing carbonation. Really good stuff, great complexity and many components that could easily muscle everything else out, but just the right balance so that they play nice together and everything gets its turn.

1/30/15. 750mL bottle from Happy’s, Cedar Falls. Orange pour, nice khaki head, good lacing. Brett on the aroma, doughy, pretty floral. Better flavor, all of that with a smarties-like sourness added to the equation. A bit thin. Mrs. Owl said "what is this, sour Bud Light?"

Pours slightly hazy Amber with fine-bubbled eggshell head. Malt aroma has hoppy overtone, almost IPA-ish, with fruity undertone. Fruity and sour tones come out on the flavor, along with malty and subtle hoppy notes. Firm texture has some good fizz. Get down to grass roots for a nice soirée.

750 ml bottleis 2013 vintage, thanks Huhzubendah. Pours a hazy golden light orange with with foamy white head that clings to the glass. Aroma is an inviting combination of Brett and lime with flowery complexity. Flavor is same with Brett dominating an overall sweet ale that has a mild tropical fruit sweetness. Thin to medium body, bright carbonation, rosewater finish.
