A tart, refreshing saison brewed with our dear friend Luc Bim Lafontaine, formerly of Dieu du Ciel! Lime, hibiscus and blood orange in a mix fermentation.

75cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, bottled 27.04.2013
Aroma has grapefruit and citrus. Also funky earthy notes and ’farmyard’ aromas. Flavour has strong grapefruit and citrus notes. Foamy palate. A saison on the tart side, which lacks the yeasty notes typical to this category.

75 cl bottle @ PBF IX. Bottled on 27.04.2013.
Pours cloudy golden color with a large white head. Crisp lemony fruits on the aroma, some mild spice notes with yeast and earth. Grapefruits and lemon on the flavor, very crisp, some yeast and spices also. Nice, crisp and citric but not the best Saison I’ve tasted.

Bottle 750ml (PBF IX)
Hazy yellow color, small steady white head. Light barnyard, tartness in the nose. Light to medium--bodied. Citrus, tartness and barnyard in the flavor. Berliner Weisse like grapefruity sourness in the aftertaste. Interesting.

750ml bottle from a trade, thanks CheapBeerBuzz! @ PBF IX

Bottled 270413 - Pours hazy yellowish orange with a thick white head. Aroma of lime, citrus, spices, lemon and orange peel. Taste is tart, spicy, fruity and sourish with loads of gapefruit, lemon, orange peel and citrus. Finish is tart, sourish and fruity with some citrus and grapefruity notes. Pretty balanced and refreshing saison.

750 ml bottle @ PBF IX. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of juicy citrusy notes, urinal cake, orange zest and floral hops. Rich flavour of juicy sour citrus, floral bitterness, mild yeastiness, rosehip, some grass and some spiciness. Medium bodied and high carbonation. Finishes dry and very citrusy. Good. Way too citrusy and lacks yeastiness and that Saison graininess.

New JesusofVT scope toss via edmund_edmonds just last year. Sat on this one, so over a year of rotter fridge age @ this point. Gold pour with a fluffy white head. Cool lacing or whatever if you’re into that (I don’t care either way). Fruit forward mix of orange and lime on the nose. Some Grapefruit, a bit of lemon. Funky, earthy, basement, but not huge on those notes really, they’re just chilling in the background. Just slightly tart, more like acidic fruit. Semi-dry. Nice carbonation. This one was pretty darn good for being a year old.

Pours a nice slightly cloudy golden color with fizzy white head. Citrus, funk, tartness, and floral note on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes tart and dry.
