[ FONEFAN in Masters Division Celebration ].
Unclear hazy medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus - orange, grapefruit - lemon peel. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long to average duration, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Good work Ryan impressiv with a ABV of only 2.7%. [20100802]

Handbottled. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has strong notes of citrusy hops combined with notes of lemon, straw, and hay. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, citrus, and elderflowers, leading to a very dry finish. The body is light.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2010 On tap. Courtesy of FrumptyDumpty. Lightly hazy golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Very, very fresh citrus and grapefruit in the nose. Light body, a little malt but otherwise completely dominated by astringently dry hops leaving a bitter finish. 240710

1 L bottle. Pours cloudy yellow to orange with a small white head. Aroma is distinct grapefruity. Citrusy and grapefruity. Dry. Light bodied. Dry citrusy to grapefruity hops finish. Dry and slight watery.

Draught@White Horse Parsons Green. Golden colour with small slightly off-white head. Aroma is a lot of fruity and floral hops (Nelson Sauvinish) along with some mild grassyness. Flavour is fruits, wood, some tropical fruit juice and mild herbal notes. Ends quite grassy and floral hoppy.

Hanbottled from tap. Hazy golden coloured with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma of hops, grass and citrus with notes of pine needles and grape fruits. Fruity flavour of hops, grass and pine needles. Hoppy finish. Light watery.

Hazy golden color. Very nice hoppy aroma, fruity (more apricots here than in the fone50), and some piney resins. The body is even weaker and drier, with subtle toffee flavor and ending being just a hop juice. Refreshing but also too aggressive, and definitively too dry for me.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2010 Cloudy golden with a large fluffy off white head. Aroma had plenty of hops, pine, grapefruit and lemons. Flavor was bone dry with loads of hops, pine and grapefruits. the body was very solid for any abv beer. Finished very dry and seriously bitter. What a session beer. I love it!

Tap @ Fanø Tasting, July 2010. Pours hazy orange with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is fresh hops. Peach, bread and a bit of rye. Medium and smooth palate. Dry and hoppy end. Very nice.

Happy 50th Birthday Fonefan!!. On tap at White Horse, Parsons Green. Pale gold, thin white head. Touch of diacetyl. Touch of hop. diacetyl light beer. OK, but maybe needs work.
