2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 JulienHuxley (1154) - Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 11, 2012
On tap at Prohibition Pig. Appeareance: Opaque, looks like pinneaple juice with no head. Aroma: Light soured wheat and white fruits. Very shy. Taste is way too sour, very citric, the acidity is burning. Impressive how such a low abv beer can be intense, but not very enjoyable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (6990) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2012
A hazed blonde weisse with no head. In aroma, smooth talcum powder with light Epsom, nice and tart. In mouth, a smooth tart beer with light Epsom salts, nice, light and refreshing. On tap at Prohibition Pig, April 6 2012.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 fiulijn (10421) - Como, ITALY - MAR 11, 2012
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen Cloudy pale yellow color, without head. The aroma is lemony and grassy, some manure. Light body, with a pleasant citrusy and breadish flavor, good acidity too. Refreshing, well done.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JanLaursen (1121) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 25, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2012 Draught at Ørsted Ølbar, Cph: Unclear, light colored beer looking like unfiltered applejuice. Or cats piss. But aroma is delicious: Soft, light sourish milky, slightly like applejuice - and light malty. Taste is light sweet, medium tart, light milky. Extremely refreshing and light years ahead of the Berliner Weisses I’ve had so far (but that’s my problem). Watery texture, low carb, very dry finish. Nice.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 8, 2012
(Draught@Pikkulintu, rated 2011-09-17) Muddy yellow with a small, fading head. Sour aroma with some strawberries and wheat. Flavor is very sour-wheaty, but with sugary sweetness in the background. No complex vinegar-style tartness, though, like in lambics or sour ales, but merely plain lactic fermentation. Quite light, thin body with high CO2. Sourness is at the Cantillon level, but otherwise this is quite one-dimensional.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mansquito (1821) - washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 29, 2011
The Farmhouse, Burlington VT 12oz tap ($7.50): Pours a hazy light yellow with a white head. Aroma is all sour malt, vinegar, and a little bit of something else. Obviously, this is a really light alcohol beer, but the lightness doesn’t create any wateriness. Occasionally, there is a hint of seltzer at the finish, but I think that it is more a result of the texture than the intensity of flavour. Middle range in terms of the amount of sourness that there is. Some slight sweetness and plenty of acidity. I think I thought this better than most other people here.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Nightfall (1263) - Hamburg, GERMANY - DEC 5, 2011
Draught @ Olfestival 2011 Kobenhavn. This is probably my 2nd or 3rd Berliner Weisse and so far I wasn’t the biggest fan. This one I quite enjoyed. Despite the unappealing look (murky, piss yellow, laundry water mix with no head), it had a lovely very intense aroma of sour lemon, malt and some wheat. Flavour is citric sour, very intense lemon with a very very dry finish.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 FatPhil (6210) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 16, 2011
Tap (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Smells of vitamin pills. Looks like grapefruit juice. Tastes of hangover tabs. Yes, it’s sour, however, that doesn’t intrinsically make it good. Way too much like vitamin tabs.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 cryptobard (281) - DENMARK - OCT 23, 2011
Tap, piss yellow, tart and fruity smell, unbalanced sour taste. Carbonated but otherwise thin and slick.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (9205) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 18, 2011
On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A unclear one, yellow in color and rather flat. The aroma has a strange touch of something reminding me of a plate of the Danish course Stjærneskud, strange but far from bad. Some pale malts, fruityness and sourness too. The flavov is fruity and sourish, rather one-dimensional. Medium body, quite acidic and tart. A very refreshing beer, although not superb. 110526
