Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a slight, weak head. Smells of HF yeast. Taste is light to moderately tart. Light+ bodied; significantly under carbonated; drying finish. Tartness lingers... Very nice taste, but I really wish it wasn’t so under carbonated. Can’t imagine that was what Shaun was going for here.

Gorgeous thick creamy head over a hazy golden/Amber pour. The aroma is really earthy and herbal with a bit of vanilla and some light fruitiness. There is a lactic sort of sourdough character and a bit of grassiness. As it warms - the funkier notes really rise to the fore. There is a bit of light fruitiness and a touch of oakiness on the back. Lovely.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear gold to amber in color with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, funk, tart fruit and apricot. Malty and funky flavor with sour citrus before an apricot finish.

Amber pour with no head on 3.24.14 and a few more times after. Smell is sour and yeasty. Flavor is the same - fairly tart. Not much to it but the sourness is nice. Very drinkable and seems to be best after aging.

November 22, 2015. Bottle at home, bottled august 2012. Received in a trade with Leighton, thanks!
Hazy amber with a large fizzy white head. Aroma is funky with a toffee overnote, hay, earthy woody and herbal notes, grape and apple skins, lemon juice, some minerals as well. Taste is very light sweet biscuity, sour lemon character and some dry wood and grape skins. Finish sour with lemon juice, grape skins, dry earthy herbal notes, biscuity toffee notes, minerals and funky barnyard. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.
Great funky saison with a nice sweet toffee touch, has developed well.

Bottle - Sweet, floral and grassy notes. Cloudy gold with a nice white head. Tart, funky, white grape and a nice sweet tartness. Not sure what the "Amber" means, no hints here.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with an off white head. Mild stone fruit and caramel bouquet. A bit water with vinegar, malt, cereal, and faint apricot highlights. Not overly sour. Average body and mouthfeel.

750 mL bottle. Reviewed from notes. Big head. Great retention. Chunky surface foam. Mostly clear amber body. Bretty aroma. Lemony acidity. Earthy notes from the brett. Bready malts in the nose, be even more prominent in the taste. Some tang from the brett. Lemony. Grainy malt and a little caramel. Well carbonated. Easy drinking. Medium light body. Good saison characteristics, but nothing extraordinary. The light tanginess keeps it interesting.
