2013-04-27. Crisp golden amber body nice white head and light lace. 3++ Aroma starts with notes of musty basement, mild grainy malt, lactic sourness. 7++ Flavour is pleasantly sour, lemon notes, modest malt core. The sourness is not overly intense but starts to dominate as the bottle goes one. Average plus bodied palate with modest carbonation suits it. 3+ Pleasant, pretty subtle. Nuanced beyond what I have vocabulary for at this point. Solid but a bit too gentile for its own good? Needs the flavours other than sourness to be slightly more assertive to take it to the next level. Bottle at Prohibition Pig, Waterbury.

750ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Unspecific fruity, yeasty aroma. Taste is rather sourish, peach-like fruity notes, some yeast. Sourish notes are close to a Fruit Lambic.

Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Aroma of citrus fruits, yeast and spices. Flavor of yeast, sour fruits, yeast and spices. Quite nice balanced brew with a dry sourish finish. Very nice.

Pours a cloudy orange colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of sharp citrusy notes, funk, flowers and some malts. Flavour of strong citrusy notes, barnyard, gooseberry bush, tart berries and some mild caramel. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a refreshing citrusy finish. Refreshing and good.

Aroma has citrus and some funky notes. Flavour is tart with gueuze notes, some earthy notes, grapefruit and citrus. A bit stuffy but good anyway.

750ml bottle, 2012 vintage, a gift from Tim and Dan. Thanks! Pours a dark, copper amber color with a big white head and some lacing. Aroma is bready, yeasty, spicy, clove. Medium on the palate with soft, light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, a little caramel, grassy, clove, yeasty, with a sweet, clove finish. A very interesting saison.

Slightly hazy golden pour, nice thick white head, really bold citrus nose. Citrus sour taste with some underlying funk. Really nice and effervescent mouthfeel.

Hefewürziger Geruch, Koriander, säuerlich. Säuerlicher Start. Mitte säuerlich-herb, hefige Einflüsse, Traube und Muskat. Trockenbitterer Abgang. Ok - ist mir persönlich auf Grund der Säure aber zu anstrengend.

Bomber. Thanks to Chris H. Sugary, yeasty aroma with very light caramel. Dull light brown color. Sharp tart apples / cinnamon and light fruit, with a touch of oxidation / very quick finish. Thin-medium body. Nice, tart, and refreshing (but not so exceptional) stuff.
