Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Dark blackish look with a small brown head. Aroma has notes of pineapple hops, sweet milky chocolate, mint, liquirice and Brett. Very inviting. Sweet bubbling flavor with mild yet tastefull roasted malts, high bitterness and that lovely Brett finish. Great !

4th March 2011 Bottle at ACBF. Opaque black beer, residual dark brown head. Crispish palate. Minerally dark malt that isn’t heavy or light but right in the middle. Very nice subtle fruit notes. Trace of coffee and brett. Nice beer - doesn’t clobber you but has a lot going on.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Papsoe (25129) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2011
On tap. Pours an opaque black with a tiny light brown head. Prunes and other dried fruit in the nose while the roast is fairly downplayed. Full-bodied, very intense, plenty of licorice, dried dark fruits again and even a hint of tobacco. There’s a slight malt astringency - not much funk though. Very juicy and delicious - yum indeed. 140311

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of hops, roasted malt, alcohol, and dextrose. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, smoke, wood, soy sauce, and hops, leading to a dry, roasted, and hoppy finish.

Smells a bit like dirty shoes haha. Black in color with no head. Deep roasty flavor with interesting yeast tones (apparently brett). This is a bit of a confussing beer.
