Draft at Pig. Pours ultra hazy straw gold with not much lace or heady to note. Aromas and flavor of basil, earth tea, lemon zest, well water, pollen, yeast, florals and lemongrass. Medium to fuller body, long lasting and layered with flavors. Amazing.

Tap at Blackback Pub & Flyshop, 07/26/2013. Pours hazy orange, thin white head rests in a creamy haze on the surface, light lacing. Aroma is a cloud of yeast and fluffy bread malts, ripe pear and subtle orange, soft herbal finish, mild spices. Taste is cereal malts, floral citrus and lemon, definitely some American hops thrown in, fruity, spicy herbal notes, nice lingering mild bitterness. Medium, creamy body. Great, definitely a top notch Belgian ale and a step (or two) above average for the style.

Keg at Three Penny Taproom - Montpelier, VT. Pours. Loudy gold with a moderate, frothy white head. The aroma holds lightly doughy pale malsts, touches of hay and yeast, and the chamomile definitely comes through. Light to medium sweet flavor with bready malts, mandarin orane, lemon merengue, faint citrua rind bitterness, more chamomile tea. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish with more bready malts, whippy merengue, chamomile, semi-ripe citrus fruits. Very tasty and quite novel.

Golden and cloudy. Nice head retention Very herbal nose. Oranges and clover honey. Mild nose overall Very soft and delicate. Nice bitterness at the finish. It has this floral element that’s really interesting. I can’t pinpoint the spiciness but its spicy in an herbal way. It’s a very drinkable beer. Certainly something I want to try again.

Hazed, creamy looking blonde. Pristine, sparkly lemongrass aroma with familiar wheat-like characteristics everywhere around it.

Bananas, dough, honey and lemon comprise a simple, sweet flavor that is smartly balanced by bits of coriander, and tea leaves, and fragrant lemongrass.

The palate lacks a certain brittleness or rustic crunch, instead offering an unyielding, mildly sticky sweetness in the finish. The purity of its lemongrass essence certainly overwhelms this issue; it is ultimately a lovely, well-made refreshing blonde ale.
