Kräftig und dunkel. Das sehr aromatische Naturbier besitzt leichte Röstaromen, die sich harmonisch mit den Malzaromen verbinden und eine Nuance von Bitterschokolade erahnen lassen. 15.4°

Clear dark brown color, small tan head. It seems this ones is rotten. Which is strange, expiration was still good. Anyway, acidic cabbage aroma, same with taste, infected and all, with presence of roasted malt. Creamy texture, soft carbonated. Sweet and sour finish. Too bad, I hope I will be able to try it again and re-rate it sometimes in the future.
Style rating dropped from 82 to 65 after my entry, I feel so bad right now.

Bottle. Dark brown body, with a medium, creamy, tan head. Rich aroma of chocolate, nuts, dark berries, dried fruits, some coffee. Taste is a bit thinner, with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a medium carbonation and it finishes moderate, roasty, nutty and a bit sour-fruity. Very good, propably one of the best Dunkels from Austria. Good balance between sweet and roasty. Unfortunately the taste doesn’t fully live up to the nose, but it has a great drinkability instead.

swing top bottle 330ml. -Dark brown coloured, small beige head, strong caramel nose. Slight roasted malt, caramel and touch of chocolate with dry nutty notes in the finish. Some dust and sugar also. Pitty, could have been and I’ve expected better one.

On tap at in Vienna. Pours out a dark brown topped with a nice head. Nose is sweet milk chocolate roast malts and spice. Taste is the nose with malts leading the way a little to much chocolate sweetness. Not to bad overall thought.

GoufCustom (1108) - HONG KONG - JAN 2, 2014

330 ml bottle bought at Lafaco & Co’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during Hong Kong Food Festival 2013.

Clear deep blackish brown colour with faint traces of yeast sediments; One finger head and crumpet beige foam which lasts for about 1 minute; Moderate sticky lacing and no carbonation; Aroma of roasted malt, with light caramel, cream, molasses and light toffee; Sweet taste of roasted malt, with creamed coffee, toffee, strong nuts, smoke, brown sugar, lime, light liquorices and grassy hops; Medium body, quite creamy palate; Mouth feel is well-roasted malt, decently creamy and quite rich. Strong nuttiness and good smokiness. Coffee taste blended with cream for a nice smooth palate. Decent brown sugar sweetness. Nice! Hoppiness is zero nose, light lime and good light liquorices and grass taste. Notable light bitterness for a smooth sweet-bitter finish; Quite dry after taste, very easy and quite creamy to mouth.

Comments: This is a very solid Dunkel, which is richer and creamier than most macros. Aroma is a little unassuming but the taste is just right on every aspect. Surprisingly nice!
