0.33 L bottle kindly shared by larsga. Virtually no head. Body is clear deep gold colored. Vinous, port-like aroma, with hazelnuts and dark dried fruits. Succulent in the mouth. Big body. Figs, dates and raisins. Sweet port and dark caramel. Firm, yet soft bitterness. Warming alcohol. Harmonious despite the high abv. Lovely sipper.

No real head. Clear deep amber body. Deep vinous caramelly aroma with honey, alcohol, and port notes. Sweet earthy syrupy taste with vinous chocolate and prune notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel with vague background notes. Dryish-sweet syrupy honey and alcohol aftertaste with earthy caramelly notes. Lovely! Harmonic and balanced. (0.33l bottle, from Copenhagen, but forget where.)

Bottle. Frothy white fair fully deminishing head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate sweet and bitter nice vinius flavor. Prune and rasin notes, Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Aroma is just so sweet, Way tooooo sweet. Some caramel in here as well, but so overpowered by the sugars. And some booze.
Taste is very sweet.
Full and oily body, with no carb.

Bottle @ RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift. Hazy mid brown colour with a bit of booze bit of must on aroma. It’s a sweet caramel barley wine, but I do like that lovely really sweet edge. Raisins and oloroso sherry.
