Miksu (1253), Jyväskylä, Finland Aug 7, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Dark reddish black color with creamy tan head. Sweet, smoky, fruity and herbal aroma. Dryer, smoky, roasty and tarry flavor with licorice, chocolate and fruity-woody juniper finish.
Good original aroma and fairly good flavor too. Long finish brings gin to mind. fonefan (4468), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 Bottle 33cl. Clear medium brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, fruity - berry bitter and sour. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metallic. (180508) Adenila (634), Denmark Jun 15, 2008 Black with a small brown head. Aroma is fruity and has notes of juniper berries and some roasted malt. Mild flavor which is quite acidic along with a medium roasted bitterness. The bitterness is also backed up by the berries. Pinball (432), Allerød, Denmark Jun 12, 2008 aroma is acid, i expected some kind of fruit, the flavor is sort of watered out, or weak, i miss strength and body. better than my score, but for a stout it’s kinda sorta waterish+++ rickgordon (3061), Göteborg, Sweden May 26, 2008 From bottle at Aarhus Beerfestival.
Hazy dark brown colour. Belgo Yeast-like aroma a la Leffe. Weird! Flavourwise it’s low on the dark malts, the only dark thing that plays here is the colour. Belgian profile here, from the juniper perhaps. Weird beer with not much detectable bitterness.
