Clear, very dark brown, small offwhite head. Roasted, light herbal aroma, perhaps a little smoke. Flavour is roasted, woody with juniper berry hints and nicely balanced bitterness. Light feel, light bitter finish. Nice stout, not particularly mindblowing.

Sample from 50 cl. bottle. Dark brown colour with amber hues. Creamy, light tanned, lasting head. Roasted aroma with malts, juniper berries, light hints of caramel and coffee. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes roasted with juniper. Well balanced, the juniper berries is not overpowering.

Fin duft av einebær og karamell. Dyp mørk farge, nesten sort. Lite skum, noe brunt skum langs kant.

Medium beige head. Clear, barely translucent, dark brown body. Fruity floral coffee aroma with chemical notes. Dryish earthy roasty caramelly taste with wooden cold coffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty coffee aftertaste with toasted rice and chocolate notes. Nice, drinkable, full-flavoured. (0.5l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

(50 cl bottle from Barley Wine; BBD: July 3rd 2013) I wanted to try this as I enjoyed the Baltic Frontier and saw that this had good reviews. pours black with little, tan head. Aroma is wheaty, herbal-spicy with notes of anis. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body with a slighly bitter, herbal and roasted finish. The herbal bitterness of the juniper complements the roastedness well but it seemed to be put to better use in the baltic frontier.

Bottle. Great idea to add Juniper berry to a stout. Aroma is more of roasted malt and liquorice. Vey dark Brown color with Brown head. Mild and lightly bitter flavour with spicy Juniper berries in the finish and an aftertaste of liquorice.

Bottle. Dark brown towards black with a small lasting nicely lacing off white head. Aroma is very discreet to not present, but there is some caramel and light grain, bark, caramel, light chocolate, can't find the juniper. Light/medium body, medium sweet and light+ bitter, medium carbonation. Light dry and bitter finish.
