[on tap at EBF 2008] Peat smoke aroma, but not crazy smokey. Sourish-sweet too, with some molasses sort of like an eastern European dark beer. Reddish, almost opaque, brown and cloudy. Smoke-dominated flavour with a nice malty finish. Some nuts. Too sweet. Medium body, sticky sweet feel, lasting smoke finish.

Tap @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours completely black with a small, film head. Aroma is very pleasant, roasted, some raisins and rather dry. High carabonation, impressive mouthfeel. Flavour has great, subdued smokiness, good milky chocolate, well roasted and liquorice. Great for a Schwarzbier.
