COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500 ml bottle. Slightly hazy deep golden body with a moderate sized tan head. Mild aroma of caramel malt, toffee and a hint of roast. Flavor is sweet biscuit malt, some caramel, light fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body and medium aftertaste. Decent, quite smooth but rather straight-forward and nothing extra at all.

Bottle 50 cl, bbd 07.07.2012. Quite cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma with strong notes of toasted malts and a peculiar spicy, herbal touch, probably from the kvan Taste is spicy and sweet, herbal and caramelish, medium body with a refreshing bitter finish. All in all a little cloying, but somehow it has quite some charm.

Bottle brought home from Tovehallerne, Copenhagen. Dark ruby, fluffy head. Rich, ripe fruit, deep body with strawberries and cherries. Some sourness and bitterness underneath. The bitter hops clash a bit with the sweet red fruit, so this is a bit off balance. Nevertheless a pleasant beer.

Bottle. It pours an almost clear, golden body and a dense, off-white head leaving some lacings. It’s rather boring on the nose, mostly fruity, but there’s also some sugary maltyness. The flavor has some tropical fruits, along with the sugary maltyness and generic fruityness found in the aroma. A decent bitterness kicks in towards the end. Medium body, smooth on the palate. Although on the boring side, it’s a quite decent and drinkable beer. 120203

Nocturne (630) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2012
Sample at Ølfestival 2012. Amber with a short white cap. Quite a thin mouthfeel initially, but the sugary, yeasty and fruity flavours are sufficiently pleasant. Some nice apricot and berry notes. Decent overall.
