3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(33cl bottle, with thanks to Hildigöltur & Dixen!) Hazy, amber coloured hue with micro particles and a short off-white creamy layer. Sweet malty and aromatic fruity (lemon, orange) nose with a dash of woody hops. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft and well-matured carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Malty, fruity and floral taste, quite intense but far away from being perfumed; quite dry and slim, soft malty and citrousy hoppy finish with a zesty aftertaste. Aromatic Ale, every time again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In my notes for my Denmark trip in May 2006 but not sure that I had it at the beer festival as it wasn’t listed in the programme. I had it noted down as 6.8%. It is quite orangey, both in colour and aroma but I can’t say I picked up the honey. Although that might have been hidden by the quite pronounced aromatic hoppy elements, no doubt derived from the use of Cascade hops. It’s quite a tasty beer but the mouthfeel could be a touch firmer. Didn’t realise it was a Christmas beer. Wouldn’t really have had it down as an APA though.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the splendid Ølbutikken in Copenhagen. Orange all over - in colour, nose and taste. Fading head. Full bodied. Some hops in the body and a sweetness of honey towards the end. Presented as an unusual xmas beer, but should be perfect for the springtime season as well (sampled with Finn, 27.01.2006)
