500 ml bottle sampled in 2010. Dark reddish brown body with a nice beige head. Aroma has dark malt, chocolate and liquorice. Flavor is sweet, not heavy roasted malt, hint of liquorice, chocolate and dry cocoa powder with moderate bitterness. Fine body and bitter aftertaste that’s close to dry. OK and a bit different stout. Quite enjoyable after a few sips.

Bottle. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Very dark brown colour with light brown head. Bittersweet flavour of malt and black coffee with just a tiny drop of liquorice. Medium body, dry finish.

CBF 2012: Black coloured with a light brown head. Aroma has light roasted notes and light chocolate. Flavor starts sweet and finish light bitter. Soft finish.

Dark brown, red hue, tanned head. Smells of roasted malts, caramel, some liquorice. Taste is quite malty, full sweetness. Nice bitter finish. Oily feel, full bodied, flat carbonation

10 cl. sample from 0,5 l. bottle. Dark brown, almost black colour with a big, creamy off-white head, leaving a good lacing. Nice roasted malts in the aroma along with caramel, chocolate, dark fruits and liqourice. Medium palate with soft carbonation. Light sweet taste with notes of roasted malts and caramel, chocolate, hints of coffee, dark fruits, finishes with a pleasant bitterness and a dish of liquorice. Decent stout.

Big brown head. Barely translucent deep dark red body with
strong carbonation. Resiny wooden licorice aroma with roasty
spicy lacquer notes. Very harmonic. Dry-sweet earthy roasty
licorice taste with metallic caramelly notes. Mid-to-full body.
Mild, soft, rounded mouthfeel. A bit dense and closed, perhaps,
but still nice. Dryish earthy chocolatey roasty aftertaste,
somewhat musty, with spicy lacquer notes. Nice, drinkable, and
