Grauballe Sort Sol

From Vignoble, Aarhus, DK Bottled Dominated by dryness from roasted barley. Thin as for the style

Sampled at Chris_o’s Shindig: Sourish, grapy aroma; light bodied, hints of raisin and prune; somewhat acidic; rather dry finish; a bit dull. Never would have pegged this as a Schwarzbier.

Bottled. Brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is slightly acidic coffee and some bittering hops. Flavour is acidic and sour fruits along with some coffee.

Bottle at chris_o shindig. Slightly hazy brown, thin tan head. Nose is chocolate, some toasted malt, some yeast. Mouth is sour but not all that robust. Palate is dull and flimsy.

Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Very dark ruby, lasting beige head. Little bit empty in mouth. Some choc, over carbonated. Thin. Some sour molasses. Dullish but the liquorice is interesting.
