phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Apr 28, 2008 Not so sure how i feel about this one. Poured a dark brown colour with a somewhat reddish tint, head was weak and and off white. Aroma was a little bland, mouthfeel was light. overall undercarbonated in my opinion, taste was a watery in the finish. RSRIZZO (942), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 25, 2007 Had this beer on 9/15/1999. Color is a deep amber. Aroma a nice camel scent. Color is deep dark amber. Taste is a mild roasted malt flavor with a slight bitterness on the end. shigadeyo (1332), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA Mar 26, 2007 3/26/2007: Gray’s Black & Tan Ale is neither black nor tan, but more of an amber color with a small, fizzy, beige crown. (I know that the term "black and tan" doesn’t pertain to the color, but I couldn’t resist the urge to start my comments with that corny attempt at a joke...) The visible carbonation is moderate. Caramel and some light nuttiness are in the aroma. The flavor is similar with light hops and stale chocolate. There is a nice bitter bite and some roasted maltiness in the DRY, soapy finish. The body is seems a bir watered down feeling and there is some occasional fizziness as well. It seems like this bottle might be slightly old and/or oxidized. Not the best black and tan I’ve had... 12 oz bottle (34504GBC 0938 CT.05) from buckybeer (Dec 2006). Thanks for the bonus Mark! I appreciate it. pinkzambia (863), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 16, 2007 Bottle: Clear, dark copper color with a small tan head. Sweet aromas of cordovan leather and friendly grain. The taste is sweet and malty. It isn’t bad, but nothing great. This is definitely not a stout. Thanks BuckeyeBoy! BuckeyeBoy (1025), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 16, 2007 12oz Bottle Pours out an amber not black or tan. Topped with a off white head.
