2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear dark brown with a Coca Cola head that last just a little longer and is a little less fizzy. Looks promising enough. Some chocolate and sweet, lightly roasted malt on the nose. The taste is a little along the same lines but the mouthfeel could have been fuller. The aftertaste is more on roasted malt and coffee and finishes in a light bitterness. For me this is just not robust enough to have a bulldog on the label. Thin mouthfeel, otherwise decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours a super foamy brownish with a tan head. Possibly lost a third of the bottle, which has been sitting for a few weeks. Aroma has molasses and brown sugar with a plastic-y presence. Taste is of sweet caramel with brown sugar. Somewhat thin. Light to medium bodied. Finishes sweetly caramelly. Shrug? Somewhere between a porter and a brown, in my estimation.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle courtesy of France 44 - thanks! Very light chocolate, a bit of roast, and an off aroma that is slightly metallic. Taste is light chocolate roast with generic sweet malt and a touch of sourness in the finish. Light mouthfeel. Not very good.

At this on draft at the rafters. Black pour with no head. Roasty and nutty. Sweet and oily aroma. Charcoal smoky taste, very average, probably won't have again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very dark brown color with a very thin head that dissolves quickly. Has scents of roasted malts, with some toffee/coffee hints. Taste is thin with flavors of coffee, roasted malts, caramel. Texture is rather light and thin as this beer drinks much too quickly than it should. Got to love this beer since it’s made in my hometown and supports local jobs, but as far as American Porters on BA, this is an average beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark black/brown with a head of light tan foam that dissipates quickly. Nose is chocolate and malt. Rich and creamy texture, the taste is full of chocolate, dark malt and cream with very little hops evident. Bully well done beer. Pairs well with brats off the grill.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and milk chocolate. Flavor is more mild than expected and consists of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and nutty notes. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. Not a great Porter.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear, quite dark cola color with a surprisingly very light tan head for the style. Head doesn’t stay very long, kinda fizzes away. So far, not my idea of a porter, and I haven’t even tasted it yet. Caramel and mollases aroma. Rather thin texture with a tartness in the taste. Mild licorice and maple syrup in the taste, but not overly sweet, subdued tartness asserts itself once again. This is an interesting, though not impressive, dark beer, but porter is not the word I would use.
