Head was smal with sticky lacing. Served pretty warm actually, i was suprised how warm the beer tasted. But it was nice, flavours came out more, some rich coffee and cocoa notes. A little bit of oatmeal and breadiness on the palate. Nice beer overall. triguy84 (74), Fitchburg, Wisconsin, USA

You can smell the coffee with hints of chocolate, not over powering. As with the aroma, taste the coffee and a hint of chocolate, and a plum like sweet flavor. Medium to heavy body, I think a little too heavy for a stout. I like how the flavors lingered. Gray’s does a very nice job with their stouts. Skyview (4121), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2008 On draught at the Grays Tied House in Verona, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with an thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin film top. Aroma of toasted dark malt, a touch of molasses and maybe some coffee. Taste is medium bodied, very light in carbonation with flavors of toasted dark malt, some chocolate, coffee and some flowery hops. Finish is semi-dry with a toasted dark malt aftertaste. Very little coffee presence compared to most other coffee stouts I have tried.
