2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 DavidP (1745) - Milwaukee, USA - NOV 23, 2005
Bottle. Clear brown-amber body. This beer smells like extract - twangy caramel. More of that twang in the flavor, this time surrounded by lightly toasted caramel malt. Very uninspring.

Bottle. Slightly hazy light amber pour with a light tan head. Nose is sweet caramel malt, as is the taste. Pretty simple, but unoffensive and quite drinkable.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 wxman (962) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Pours a clear amber with a so-so off white head. Aroma is caramel malt. Taste shows a slightly smokey sweet/tart caramel malt. Thin texture. A good ale that is well balanced, but lacks any real distinction.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Finhead (705) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2012
A clear, amber pour with a small off-white head. It has a malty aroma of bread and some light caramel. The light body has a thin texture with average carbonation. It has a mildly sweet taste that finishes pretty quickly.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 20, 2011
12 ounce bottle from Woodmans West Madison. Pours a clear amber color with a large foamy white head. Below average head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and floral hops with a faintly soapy note. The taste is caramel, toasty notes and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DasBierChef (951) - Lucan, Minnesota, USA - AUG 17, 2011
This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Onslow (713) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Darker amber brew with thinning offwhite head. Aroma of caramel malts with a pleasant earthy overtone. Taste is mild to moderate caramelt malts at the start blending into a light but somewhat complex hoppiness - some earth overtone, spice, grass, and general bitter on the back of the tongue. Palate is a bit thin for an amber but is bolstered by relatively active carbonation. Overall a solid brew that has some distincitve features.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bpreo (994) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 13, 2011
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe this also goes by the name "Speakeasy Ale" at certain locations, like Janesville’s The Speakeasy Lounge. Was good.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 cbfobes (1047) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 22, 2011
On tap, pours a dark amber with a nice off white head, and that’s the best part, aroma and flavor is extremely bland and boring, there is a distinct metal finish mixed in with light malt, pass.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 nomadtoes (3) - USA - AUG 26, 2010 does not count
It’s drinkable, but there isn’t much flavor there. Vaguely malty is right. I wouldn’t pour it out, but also wouldn’t choose it.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 arminjewell (3116) - Parker, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2010
Pours orange with white head, aroma is faint caramel. Taste up front is a bit of sweet bready and caramel malt with a watery finish.
