Typical wit aroma and appearance, but nothing that stands out. Flavor is light with some spice and finishes sticky and lightly bitter. Palate is fizzy. A very average witbier.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2004 Rerate: 07/12/04 Latest version seems to have lost a touch of luster. 6/18/02 I'll start by saying- outstanding effort for a domestic witbier. Pale hazy light straw color with a creamy big bubbled head. Light aroma of orange zest and coriander. Well balanced flavors of the spice and peel along with a residual malt sweetness that is so often overlooked (or difficult to obtain) in this style. Good looking lace all the wat to the finish. Finish is dry slightly acidic. You smell the orange oils as you exhale and then inhale and the malt stays on our tongue. Fairly heavy bodied for this style but I kind of like the idea of having a thirst quenching and satisfying beer for working outside in the summer.

On draught at the Grays Tied House just west of Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy, unfiltered golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and no lacing. Aroma of coriander, cloves, some banana esters, orange zest and a touch of bubble gum. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of mostly yeast, whet malt, coriander and a touch of orange zest. Finish is semi-dry with a lingering yeast and light wheat malt aftertaste. A touch heavy on the yeast flavor but still a nice dry witbier.

Dull hay color, huge head; looks weak to me. Nose faint, fresh grass and lemons. Weak yeastiness, caramel and lemon going down; rather soda-like.

Sweet, juicy citrus aroma, some lemon, orange, wheat malt and coriander spiciness, with some clove and light banana esters. Light, hazy golden yellow color, lots of particulates, with a fading head. Sweet, fruity and lightly tart flavor profile, with generous amounts of orange and spice. Finishes abruptly. Light bodied, with a watery palate. Highly drinkable.

I do believe this is the first time I’ve seen this beer. Sampled on draught at the brewery. Poured a cloudy golden colour with a large white head. Aroma is fruity, wheat- orange peel, coriander and spice on the nose. Taste is pleasent. Plenty of wheat and creamy flavors on the palate.

I rated this beer comparing another Belgian White brewed by a Wisconsin brewery, Point White Biere. Aroma is very similar to the Point. Cloudy, "white" with largish particles. Small head; mostly eroding. Smooth, light and refreshing in flavor. A good summer beer. Not as good as Point's offering, but good. Goes well with a slice of orange, but rate it without.
