COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you like a well-hopped beer, then this American Pale Ale is for you. Brewed with over 15 lbs of fresh hops, the John Brown is “dry hopped”, a process of adding whole-leaf Cascade hops during fermentation and maturation. Constant hop additions of five varieties of hop yields a balanced but distinct bitterness.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2010 On Tap the the Great Adirondack. Served a clear copper color with a head that fades to nice lacing. Has a clean citrus and fresh grain aroma. Crisp clean citrus taste and a good bitterness with a clean finish. Fairly medium body, very smooth with a well hidden ABV. Very well balanced. Easy to drink and goes down easy. Have to give this brew an edge over the UBU. Best beer I’ve had while traveling in upstate New York.

At Brewpub in Lake Placid. Copper color with an aroma of pine, caramel, and citrus. Lots of caramel, citrus and pine in the taste. Nicely done.

Light amber color. Light but nice caramel aroma; earthy. Good malt and caramel flavor, very earthy, light manure; good hopping, more English style than the promised Cascade; in the end there are traces of bitter oranges. Strong bitterness, long final. Good.

Growler. Poured an orangey straw color with no head. Aroma of piney hops, brown sugar, and some caramel. Bitter flavor initially, subtle sweetness toward the middle, and a bitter piney finish. Medium body with little carbonation. Pretty good. Thanks Dad!

Growler from brewpub. Delivered by the wife...what a woman. This is one pretty beer in the glass. Nose is all hops. They aint kidding in the description of this puppy. Not much of a head. Lacing is stringy. Body is light to medium and quick on the tounge. MMMMMM hops. I wish I had some hot wings and some fried cheese. A classy brew from a brewpub far far away. Very nice!

draft- delicous from the brewery. I was so surprised to find this at a local restarant, I had to check out the brewery for myself which offered this and many other citrussy hop finds. Nicely done.
