UPDATED: OCT 5, 2014 "Another good version of a doppelbock. Not sure why the new recipe. I LOVED the old one. This is good, though. Hearty, sweet liquid bread, with a hint of nuttiness and a long caramel finish. "

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very, very nice dopplebock here. One of the standout beers on my beer trip in the Sierra Nevada area. Aroma is melted carmels, molasses, light tangerine, and toffee. An assertive malt profile with loads of caramel, maple, light coffeeand raisins.
