BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 20, 2004 On-Tap at the Brewery (There for the 04’ Reno Air Races) Clear cronze, light carbonation/head. Nose of faint fresh crispy hops & well mashed grains. The flavor is very mild & balanced. Traditional ESB in the purest sense (aside from cask of course). Finishes fresh and tasty. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 3, 2003 (draught - calls itself ESB) Dark amber colour; little head. Fruity and malty nose. Quite bitter start, rather roasted, even coffee-ish taste. Big on malts underneath. Retronasal full of interesting flavours as artichoke, hoppy, leafy. Well-bodied, slick. Strange combination but good balance. Crit (2239), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Dec 12, 2002 Cloudy medium amber, lasting head.Tiny bead. Mostly malt nose and taste. Not enough hops for a bitter. Great Belgian lace
