Tasted on tap at the 7th Annual Bistro Double IPA fest. This Imperial IPA pours a cloudy medium orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty and caramel, more sweet than hoppy. A medium bodied 2x IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are citrusy and piney. Nice balance. Big malt backbone. Lots of hop flavors, but not a lot of hop bitterness. It right in that class between an Imperial IPA and a Barleywine. Touch of alcohol bite in the finish. Solid beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

O tap at the brew pub. Dark copper pour wth a white head. Aroma is resin and slight citrus. A bit of malt. Flavor is resiny grapefruit. Some malt backbone, but not enough or this beer I my opinion. Good offering though.

3oz sample. One of 7 samples tasted while having lunch at the brewpub. I found all 7 to be solid brews and good examples in each of the styles. This one will have you burping up pure hops (and that is a good thing in my book). Overall they had better than average offerings than the majority of brewpubs out there. (actual tasting was on 2/15)

Pint off of tap at the brewery. I will have to agree with beerguy101 pretty much to a T. This is my favorite beer I have had since I moved west from Virginia. Definitely going to get my growler filled constantly until they run out of this batch!
