An India Pale Ale of ample strength with an assertive hop compliment. Named after Nevada's state fossil. Just say, "Gimme' an Icky!"

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a half minute. There was some light trickling lacing sliding into the beer. The smell was a burnt breadiness with a burnt citrus hops. The taste was exactly the same with a slight cardboard aftertaste. On the palate, this sat about a light on the body with not much of a sessionability about it due to the off taste. Overall, this "highly evolved" beer maybe is devolving. I went through an entire sixer just so it wasn’t just the one beer, but it was all the same. I didn’t care for this at all.

Draft at Jernigan’s. An average West Coast IPA heavy on the sweet malt side of things. Bit of tropical citrus, a bitter finish. Not too exciting.

Earthy, fruity, sweet and cracker-like malt aroma. Cereal, sweet, cracker malt flavor; citrus fruity hops, with subtle pepper.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2014 On tap at Pour 24 in New York, New York, Las Vegas. Displayed a clear, amber/gold, with billowy, soft white head foam, and very frothy, spiraling rings of clingy lacing. The nose was perfumey citrus, mainly grapefruit, with slight dankness, and a touch of pine. Light bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was basically dry, lingering, moderate astringency, with the citrus somewhat diminished in the flavor, no malt sweetness, and texture that was a bit. thin & watery. Started strong, but waned into the finish. Still a decently drinkable, basic IPA.

Draft pint poursdark gold with brownish hues. Nose light floral and dank hops, sweet malt, hint of fruit. Taste light bitter up front, then the hop flavors, similar to nose. Late palate sweet fades to pleasing bitter finish.

Clear light yellow amber. Light hop aroma with a slight cream to the smell too. Nice hop bite that the malts balance and then leave a little of the bitter grain taste behind.

Bottle thanks to Wittales in the local 3.14 swap. Pours a mostly clear golden brown with thin cap of last off-white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of citrus hops with a nice caramel malt back. Taste is more towards the hoppy, but nice balance. Mild bitterness, soft carbonation. Although nothing amazing it is a nice well rounded IPA.

Really well balanced IPA. Not too bitter with a good malt flavor. Almost a little smokey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A- pours a crystal clear burnt straw to amber with a finger of off white head that dissipates to a thin skin. Mild lacing. S- smells more like a straight pale than an IPA. Relatively pallid aroma. Light caramel malts, soap, grass and grapefruit. A little damp pine forest and some light overripe apple. M- a light watery body with low heat and a light biting palate. Low carbonation. T- prominent but not heavy dial soap up front. Grass and bitter grapefruit on the middle. Light astringent. Ending is quick to fade but lingers with mineral water mostly, some grass and watery malts.

Great balance between malty sweetness and hop bitterness. A go to beer for many occasions!!!! Not over hopped like many American style ipa's that we see today. Nice clean beer
