doubleo (626), San Diego, California, USA May 5, 2008 On-tap at some restaurant in Reno. Pours orange with a sudsy, off-white head, lots of lace. Smells nice. Grassy, earthy and bitter. Tastes grassy hoppy and earthy and bitter. Very good, tasty, clean. Medium body with good carbonation.
EKGoldings (441), Radford, Virginia, USA Apr 5, 2008 On tap in the pub. On the low end of hops and oomph from what I expect from an IPA but certainly a drinkable and likable beer. pinkzambia (863), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 14, 2008 Tap @ brewpub: Clear copper color with a small white head. Hoppy aromas along with flat citrusy and juniper notes. The flavors are of the sweeter hop variety full of ripe apricots, junipers and fresh meadow grass. All of this is followed by a nice bitter trailer. Quite good. DYCSoccer17 (1982), Davis, California, USA Sep 15, 2007 4 ounce sample on tap at the California Brewer’s Festival. Sample #4. This was labelled as a pale ale. Spicy, peppery, piney hopped aroma. A bit sweet and metallic. Fair enough. Transparent copper body with a frothy, creamy, tan head. Nice lacing. Holy roasted malts. Light sweet flavors to start, becoming extremely malty, roasted, and toasted. A little spicy hoppiness to finish. Lots of cereal graininess. Not what I’d expect in an IPA. Drinkable, nonetheless. BuckeyeBoy (1025), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 6, 2007 On-Tap at the Brewery Sparks NV, Pours out a amber topped with a little head. A great hop aroma (maybe dry hopped). Great tast of hops and a nice bitter finish. One of there best brews. I would have to vote.
