On-Tap at the Brewery (There for the 04’ Reno Air Races)
Dark brown, crimson edges & a firm dense tan head. Nose of light cocoa & nutty chocolate, very light roast & smoke. The flavor is excellently balanced with a light dry smokiness followed by the creamy sweet malts then rounded off with the sublte noble hops. The finish is creamy, a bit sharp. Excellent classic porter.

Tap. Dark brown, small tan head leaving behind minimal lace. Aroma of nuts, house yeast and caramel. Medium body, foamy, dry carbonation and far too much of it for any porter. Carbonation like this might be acceptable in an ESB or hefe or something, it’s nice, but has no place in a porter. Flavor is house yeast front, very sour and finish is toasty with bakers chocolate bitter, dry finish. Nice flavor, but too sour, carbonation needs fixing.
