COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Outlaws and gentle folk alike are captivated by this dark beer. It marries the deep coffee like flavors of roasted barley with a silky texture contributed by rolled oats.

GABF 2005: Deep brown hue with a small head and some lace. The aroma is a bit weak with notes of oats, chocolate, roasted malt, and some coffee. The beer has a nice malty taste, mocha, subdued fruity undertones of apple and berry. A finishing touch of freezed-dried coffee bitterness. An okay mouthfeel for the standard sweet stout.

3oz sample. One of 7 samples tasted while having lunch at the brewpub. I found all 7 to be solid brews and good examples in each of the styles. Overall they had better than average offerings than the majority of brewpubs out there. (actual tasting was on 2/15)

On tap. A tasty, but by the books oatmeal stout. Body is jet black, head is a creamy tan color. Aroma is mostly roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor is mostly the same and doesn’t stray very far. Flavor is very smooth and velvety. A nice sessionable stout.

On-Tap at the Brewery Sparks NV, Pours out a dark brown topped with a tan head. A nice light roast coffee aroma and some sweetness. Tast of dark roast and plenty of malt. Not a bad brew.

A pleasant oatmeal stout with nice sweetness that accompanies the roasty coffee flavors. Dark brown with a tan head. I enjoyed it.

Pour is brown with a off-white head. Aroma of grain, coffee, and a some chocolate. Flavors of sweet creamy chocolate, coffee, oats, and some graininess. Pretty good sweet stout.
