20-Jan-08 (Draft: Great Bear Brewing Co. in Wasilla, AK) The nose is moderately sweet and caramely, but the wonderful, sweet orange citrus hop aroma is captivating. Great balance in the flavor between sweet, somewhat caramely malts and moderately bitter hops that offers grapefruit and orange citrus flavors. On the palate, the beer is medium in body and carbonation, and somewhat dusty in mouthfeel, but also medium in bitterness for a nicely balanced mouthfeel and a clean, crisp finish. Slightly hazy and amber in color with a tall, off-white head. As the head recedes to a filmy layer and wide ring, dense patches of lace cover much of the glass.
