COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Crescent Stout is crafted using American hops. This beer is created using dark roasted malts and exhibits full flavors of chocolate, coffee and has a moderate bitterness that balances with the malt. If you already enjoy stout this one will impress you. If you think stout isn’t for you, try one of ours and you may just change your mind about ""dark beer"". Our Stout is black in color and very clear with a creamy brown head that dissipates slowly (but not completely) leaving ""Irish Lace"" down the sides of your glass as you enjoy drinking.

Draft sample at Great Crescent. One of the best tasting stouts I’ve had in a long time. The roast character is present but is reserved and in balance, as it should be. This is a very easy drinking stout that I could have two or three of in a sitting and not be overpowered. Highly recommend this stout to people who are not typically stout drinkers or dark beer fans.

Draft sample at Great Crescent. Poured dark brown with an average creamy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Solid roasted coffee malt aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture. Solid roasted balanced flavor with a smooth average bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Light chocolate in the aroma. Nearly opaque appearance. I like that the flavor was in an arc shape, not a punch in the mouth. Creamy palate. Drinkable, but with plenty of character, nice.

11/15/2008: Great Crescent Stout is very dark brown with a tan/brown crown. The aroma and flavor both present roasted malt and coffee. This beer is smooth and has a medium-body. Overall this is a robust, roasty, and very easy to drink stout.

Draught sample at Great Crescent Brewery in Aurora, Indiana. Rating #1 for this beer...
