On draught at the Wausau brewpub location as Why Nut Wausau Nut Brown Ale. Pours a clear brownish copper colored brew with a thin off white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma is medicinal. some tart pomegranate, caramel malt and some dry leafy hops. Taste is quite different than its aroma. Malty, roasted caramel malt, a hint of chocolate, tobacco, roasted nuts and a hint of flowery hops. Finish continues the malty aftertaste with no bitterness.

Tap at downtown location. Pours to a mahogany brown body that’s translucent with a thin white head. The aroma is quite nutty with peanuts and walnuts. The flavor is extremely nutty with tons of walnuts and roasted peanuts with a dash of Brazil nuts. Medium body with lots of dry nuttiness. Your typical brown ale.
