A surprisingly good beer. I say that only because of the name. I expected it to be the same ol Devil’s Lake, but this was a rich red color with a nice head, some real body, nice maltiness with toffee and nuts. Enough hoppiness to balanced. A dance in the mouth. Very nice.

On tap at Great Dane - Madison. Poured clear, medium reddish-orange with a short white head.. nice lacing. Aroma was of sweet, toasty caramel, some floral, and a bit of diacetyl. Found some citrus in the flavor to go with the floral.. caramel and fruity sweetness.. very nice. Palate was quite creamy.. moderate, well-placed bitterness.. little alcohol and sweetness on a nice bitter finish.

Red Coloring. Can’t Stand the Badger Loyalty HERE!!! Why Can’t Twin Cities Breweries Make a Decent Gopher Hefe or Something! DAMMIT!! Hard to Ignore How Tasty This Amber is Though. Some Oomph Here. Hoppy with Spices Including some Pepper for a quick Smack but Enough Malt to Balance it Out and Make for an Enjoyable Brew!

Red color with a small head. Very spicy aroma. Hoppy taste with a somewhat peppery finish. Good malt as well. Pretty tasty, IMHO.

True amber to ruby color with a moderate light beige head. Aromas of caramel malt and mild floral hops. Mild malt start with a more astringent malt middle. The malt and hops fight for attention and don’t seem to melt together. Seems like a brew that was thrown together in a hurry. Just another amber.
