Apr 22, tap @ Great Dane Brewery, Fitchburg, WI. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head leaving some lace. Aroma is sweet, wheaty with a touch of lemon citrus, yeast and some cloves. Very lean mouthfeel. Flavor is yeasty, wheatyy fruity palate. Finishes peppery and a bit bitter. Very nice.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tmoreau (1625) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Served to a Weizen glass at Great Dane-Doty for the beginning of Madison’s Craft Beer Week. Displayed a hazed, apricot nectar appearance, with modest, off white head foam that reduced to a persistent ring and film, and left some clingy dots & dashes on the interior. The aroma was a bit of musty yeast, with some citrus, subtle banana candy scent, and hints of spice. The flavor added some spritzey carbonation with a bit of tartness, and finished with some light dryness. Standard Weizen, but consistently refreshing.

Sampler. It poured a cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma was faint wheat and lemon. The taste was wheat and clove, finishing pleasant banana. Just ok.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 nuplastikk (3276) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 4, 2010
Draft at the downtown brewpub. 5 for appearance right off the bat. Cloudy, thick orange-tan. Steady, creamy white head. Served with a lemon, looks nice. Pronounced banana-clove aroma and flavor. Really nails the style. Medium bodied, somewhat doughy and yeasty, quite thirst-quenching. Well done, one of GD’s better offerings. Lacks a touch of depth, just shy of World Class.
