Special hop characteristics are brought out through a process called "dry-hopping", wher raw hops are added directly to the lagering brew. Experience this smooth blend of slightly sweet malt flavors balanced by the full taste and aroma of the renowned Hallertau hop.

Sample at the downtown brewpub. Clear mahogany color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. Light body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Itís nothing special, but itís a very dirnkable red lager. Smooth and roasty, some sweet caramel flavors on the finish. Definitely enjoyable.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes a clear reddish brown with a decent off-white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, and florals. Taste is similar. Very thin.

Had it tap at the Great Dane downtown location in Madison. Poured a great head and long lasting lacing and a clear amber hue. No aroma, watery hop tasting front side with a sour hop tasting backside.

On tap at the downton madison location. On nitro - kinda weird. Light aroma of floral hops. This is a very light-bodied, light tasting lager. Very watery with almost no discernible flavor. The nitro really blows this up. Mild yeasty flavor, slight hop bitterness at the end. Cool sounding and thatís it.

On nitro at new East side location, pours a reddish brown with a decent head and stickly lacing through the entire glass, aroma of sweet malt with some earthiness and a decent hop kick, the flavor is decent with the malt and a hop presence, not terrible.

Nitro tap at the DT location. Pale amber. Mostly caramel malts. Relatively thin body. Fairly hoppy for a lager. Probably not the best choice for nitro tap - gave beer an overly creamy mouthfeel that doesnít fit the style well.

(Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Aroma of earth, nuts, and caramel. Flavor of grass, biscuit, light pine, and earth with mild bitterness in the finish.

Pours a copper color falling somewhat short of amber, with a dense, creamy white head that leaves a generous lace. Aroma is faint, and whatís there is off-putting, sharp and oxidized. Flavor is better, dominated by a heavy hops bill, floral, lemon, bits of grapefruit. Only light malts, pronounced vegetable finish. Medium bodied.
