Pours a cloudy copper coloured body with a noticeably orange hue. Medium sized white head. Had this beer on a handpull and regular draught. With the handpull, the floral aromas came out more, and the beer was slightly more carbonated. Taste of grapefruit, soft pine, toffe- finishes almost semi-sweet.

I can taste some hops, but there?s a lot of malty richness and sweetness that I really don?t care for in an IPA. The old glory pale is much hoppier and just much more enjoyable. I wouldn?t order this IPA again. That being said, it?s not terrible by any means, just far from what I want in my IPA.

esjaygee (2599) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 19, 2011
On tap at Great Dane Fitchburg. Clear amber with a thin tan head. Aroma of citrus and caramel with a touch of resinous hops in the background. Taste is of citrus and floral hops with their balancing friend called caramel. Mild bitterness, ‘twas okay.

On tap at the downtown location in Madison. Notes only. Notes say "Burning alcohol - what happened ??" I remember intensely disliking this.

tmoreau (1355) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2011
On tap at the Doty location, and served to a logo pint glass with a hazed, orange/amber hue, good froth to the off white/cream head foam, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The nose was bright citrus, with a resiny/pine edge, and a touch of malt sweetness. Medium bodied, with a moderate but "lingering through the finish" hop bitterness that brought some pleasant dryness along for company.

crossovert (2791) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2011
On tap at the Great Dane, it is a spicy, herbal sort of IPA, not a bitter bomb by any means.

Apr 22, tap @ Great Dane Brewery, Fitchburg. Poures hazy dark copper with a nice bubbly beige head. Aroma is citric, floral, caramel and some maltyness. Nice lean medium mouthfeel. Flavor is very citric, caramel sweet, malty and bitter. Finishes with a very nice longlived aftertaste.

On tap at the downtown brewpub 8/8/08: Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruity hops and lightly sweet caramel malt. Body starts fairly full with good sweetness and fresh resiny hops. Well-balanced and quite drinkable, a nice IPA.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy orange body with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of floral, pine, light toastiness, and some herbs. Flavor of hops (pine, herbal, earthy, grass) and caramel malt with a bitter finish. Just not digging this one...

Full, sticky body. Kind of a thick, orange haze. Very hoppy (pine, citrus) with a woody aftertaste. A little astringent in the finish. Pretty good.
