COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is yet another variation on a hep-centric pale ale. What makes this straw-hued sipper different than any other pale ale we’ve ever done is its almost total lack of caramel malt flavor; this purposeful "thinness" means the hops (and their flowery aromas) shine through, like a nugget of gold in a gravel riverbed. Four different varieties of hops were used (Simcoe, Amarillo, Columbus and Ahtanum) in this 7.3% "West Coast" style IPA.

On tap at the Hilldale location: Poured a bright clear amber colour with a large fluffhead. Aroma is instantly fresh with lotsa hops. Very floral very piney, everything you imagine from an IPA. How this isn’t an imp. I have no idea. Wicked astringent, chewy like mouthfeel. Hopped to the max and very citrusy. Despite that lack of malt character, it really has a sweet bitter undertone. Really nice beer.

It poured an amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was decent hops. The taste was very hoppy and some citrus. A decent beer.

On tap at Hilldale location. Pale amber in color. Mostly grapefruit and citrus-type hops in the nose. Just enough of a caramel backbone to balance the grapefruit hop flavor and bitterness. Very crisp and clean. Bitterness sticks to the end and beyond. Very easy drink.
